Hverir Geothermal

Hverir is one of the most dramatic geothermal places in Iceland. The ground is covered in bright colors like orange, yellow, and red because of minerals and sulfur. You can see hot steam coming out of the earth and mud pools that bubble and boil constantly. The strong sulfur smell reminds you that the ground is very active and powerful. Walking around Hverir feels like being on another planet, and it shows the raw volcanic nature of Iceland.
